Insel Air Incorporates New Direct Flight Curacao-Havana
The airline Insel Air, based in Curacao, today incorporates a direct flight to Havana, to increase to three the weekly operationsof this company in Cuba.
In statements to Prensa Latina from Expocuba, venue of the 33rd Havana International Fair (Fihav 2015), the sales manager at Insel, Lisandro Cecilia, said his company seeks to grow and in that endeavor it established in this country, to promote the exchange between both nations.
‘We are confident that our presence in Cuba will increase’, said the official and announced projects under realization to fly also to the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba.
According to what he explained; the flight lasts two and a half hours and it will be added to those made every Monday and Friday from the Hato International Airport to the José Martí International Airport, in Havana.
‘According to the program, the plane should leave Curacao at 09:30 local time and arrive to this capital around noon’ he said.
‘In Fihav we have already made contacts with organizations such as Cubanacán (Corporation for Tourism and Trade in Cuba) and foreign ones as Bancoex (Foreign Trade Bank), of Venezuela’, he added.
‘These are just initial steps. We hope to maintain communications and move forward to achieve a joint work with these companies’, he said.
Insel Air is part of the delegation of 30 companies representing Curacao in the Fihav 2015, as a country for the first time, after becoming Autonomous State of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Around 50 entrepreneurs from fashion companies, information technology, legal services, construction and finance, among others, are part of the entourage of that Caribbean territory.
