The upcoming Sixth Session of the Cuban Parliament on December 29 will particularly consider the results of the 2015 economic plan and the projections for next year, as well as the approve the state budget law for 2016.

The Cuban legislators will also elect the lay judges to the People´s Supreme Court, according to Granma newspaper.

Prior to the session, the Parliament´s ten permanent commission will hold working sessions, September 26-28, and Monday 28 the lawmakers gathered in those commissions will simultaneously consider the general performance of the country´s economy and budge this year in the areas of their concern.

In a recent meeting with reporters, Parliament secretary, lawmaker Miriam Brito, said that all ten commissions included in their agendas the analysis of issues they have addressed during the year, such as actions to improve the performance of the people´s power system, the attention to the people´s concerns and claims, the addressing of illegalities, acts of indiscipline and corruption and the results of audits carried out in state companies, production and other entities.
