Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investments to visit the United States
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Investments of Cuba, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, will travel to the United States on a working visit from February 15 to 18, heading a delegation made up by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Banco Central de Cuba, the Chamber of Commerce as well as other Cuban companies’ executives.
During his stay in that country, minister Malmierca will be received by his counterpart Penny Pritzker, Secretary of Commerce of the United States. Together they will inaugurate the second meeting between officials from both countries to discuss the scope of the blockade regulations still in force and their impact on bilateral economic and commercial relations. Minister Malmierca will also meet with members of the US Chamber of Commerce as well as representatives of the entrepreneurial, political and administrative sectors of that country. He will also pay a visit to the state of Virginia at the invitation of its Governor, Terry McAuliffe.
