Cuban Youth Organization Identifies Challenges

Morfa said that one of the greatest supporting samples of Cuban young people took place during the funerals of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz in November last year.

‘It is necessary to add more young people to enter as a member of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC),’ added Morfa in a meeting analyzing the balance of the work done after the 10th Congress of the UJC.

She said that facing ideological subversion is also a part of the challenges of the UJC, and the fight is more subtle as time goes on, with non-conventional methods.

Nearly 334 base organizations analyzed the fulfillment of the agreements of the 10th Congress.

Morfa stated 150 young people will represent Cuba in the upcoming World Youth and Students Festival to be held in the Russian city of Sochi in October.

In the activity, there was participation by members of the revolutionary groups that assaulted the Moncada Garrison in Santiago de Cuba, and the Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Garrison in Bayamo, province of Granma, who received the homage from the other participants.
