Mexico Will Treat Guatemalans Burned in Volcanic Eruption

The team of CENIAQ members, who were sent to provide care for the wounded, and the Guatemalan Ministry of Health, determined that they were candidates to be transferred to Mexico to receive treatment.

It was informed that the transfer will be carried out with the support of the Navy Secretary.

In addition, the Health Ministry reported on the dispatch of the Task Force Copac, consisting of three mobile medical units accompanied by one of logistics and supervision.

They will be installed in the vicinity of the shelters provided by the Guatemalan government, with the aim of providing support in the medical care of those affected by the volcanic eruption, as well as the population in surrounding areas.

These teams are made up of general practitioners, dentists, nurses and health promoters for primary care, among other preventive aids, who in total add up to 13 health professionals, plus a medical director and another supervisor.
